Cost of Attendance
Cost of Attendance (COA)
Your Cost of Attendance (COA) is more than just tuition. It’s a budget estimate that includes everything you may need for the academic year, like books, transportation, and living expenses.
How We Calculate COA
Your COA is based on:
- Enrollment intensity (number of credits you take)
- Housing status (living with parents
- Commuter (living with a parent or guardian)
- Off-Campus (living on your own & paying rent or a mortgage)
- Residency states (Butler County, other PA county, or out-of-state)
The total of your aid (grants, scholarships, work-study, federal loans and private loans) cannot exceed your COA.
The chart below is based on 15 credits per semester for two semesters (fall, spring). In-person format. Summer term is additional and based on two months of expenses.

Some programs and circumstances have higher costs, so COA is adjusted.
