(Butler, PA) Addison Say had 23 assists, Mackenzie Kurtz 14 kills and Taylor Simon 12 digs as the 13th-ranked Butler County Community College volleyball team swept Penn State Greater Allegheny on Wednesday night to move to 5-1.

Madelyn Nosel had three service aces and added 11 kills in the Pioneers’ 25-11, 25-14, 25-11 victory.

BC3 was ranked No. 13 among 86 National Junior College Athletic Association Division III programs in a poll released Sept. 8.

BC3’s program has been ranked in the Top 15 in Division III of the National Junior College Athletic Association in 39 of 43 polls dating to Oct. 4, 2021, including the past 20 in a row.

Say, a setter and opposite hitter, is a graduate of Keystone High School; Kurtz, middle hitter, Knoch; Simon, defensive specialist, Butler; and Nosel, outside hitter, Warren.

Penn State Greater Allegheny is 0-2.

The Pioneers visit the Community College of Beaver County (0-2) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
